Bridal Trial Run
What To Expect: Before
Before arriving to your scheduled trial run please be sure you have a clean, makeup-free face. This is important as it saves on time and turnout of my makeup application. Your personal tried-and-true moisturizer is okay but I do have great products in my makeup kit that I stand by.
If you have sensitive skin or allergies to certain makeup ingredients please bring your allergy-safe makeup with you. I am flexible in working with your personal needs!
Makeup inspiration pictures are great! Pinterest and Instagram are my personal recommendations. These inspiration pictures give both of us an idea of your personal style, likes and dislikes. As a makeup artist I then take the your inspiration and transform it to meet your specific needs.
My personal recommendation is for trials to be booked 6-12 weeks prior to your wedding day.
Bridal Trial Run
What To Expect: During
Upon arriving to your scheduled Bridal Train Run I offer complimentary mimosas, a glass of wine, sparkling water, coffee, and tea. This is truly a special part of planning a wedding and you should feel pampered and at ease, knowing that you are in good hands.
Please come prepared with wedding day specific details. I take detailed notes about anything that could be relevant to helping me plan the makeup portion of your wedding day.
Some details that would pertain to me would be: What is the location of your wedding? Where are you planning on getting ready? How far away are these two locations from one another? What is the time of your ceremony? Are you having a first look, if so, what is the time of your first look? How many people in your bridal party are wanting makeup services? Etc...
After discussing your makeup preferences and reviewing your wedding makeup inspiration pictures, then the real fun begins (drumroll please...) makeup application! As a makeup artist I take your inspiration and transform it to meet your specific needs. During the application process I strive to educate, inform, and keep you in-sync with what I am doing and why. I am experienced in producing a wide range of makeup looks; from "wedding natural"* to "super glam".
*Please note: I am a firm believer in the power of adding lashes in a variety of forms to complete your look. Lashes have the ability to transform your makeup from 'everyday' to 'wedding day'. If you are unsure about adding lashes I suggest to give them a try and take them out for a test drive (see the transformitive power for yourself) or to seek a makeup artist that is better suited for your personal style.*
Bridal Trial Runs can take anywhere from one to two hours depending on adjustments, questions, and note taking.
Bridal Trial Run
After the trial run is complete: take lots of pictures! Selfies, different lighting, flash on/flash off. Take it out for a spin, cut some onions to make sure its waterproof.
If you like how your makeup turned out then its the perfect time to sign a contract and put down the $50 deposit. Please keep in mind that your wedding date isn't reserved until those two steps have been completed.
What To Expect: After
What to expect
You've signed a contract, you've paid the deposit, you have completed your trial run...Now my role in organization and planning the makeup portion of your day is in full effect!
If you have a wedding planner, I will reach out to introduce myself and exchange any necessary information.
This is the time I highly recommend implementing a skincare routine. Makeup looks even better on happy and healthy skin. My go-to esthetican recommendation is here.
In the mean-time any questions you may have: feel free to text or email them directly to me.
(in the midst of peak wedding season please be patient in potential delays in communication)
In the weeks prior:
I will reach out to finalize the number of makeup recipients. Once those commitments have been made then a detailed schedule will be custom made to suit your unique wedding day needs. That is when I will finalize the total payment due on wedding day. I do not require a minimum number of makeup recipients, but i have a strict policy on
Who needs the timeline?
1. Wedding Planner
3. Hair Professional
4. Bridal Party
What to expect
The long-awaited day is finally here! All of the planning and preparations are set into motion. It's go-time, and this is where my years of experience come together.
I arrive to the previously arranged location 15-20 minutes prior to start time. I bring with me a director's chair, a ring light (if natural light isn't available), my wheeled luggage containing the entirety of makeup kit. Depending on the location the only thing I request is a counter-top to set out my makeup kit.
We are on strict schedule of 45 minutes per full face application, 30 minutes per eyes only application. I reserve 60 minutes for the bride.
8 Years of Experience
I have worked 100's of weddings, encountering *almost* any and all makeup requests. With experience comes the cultivated knowledge of organization, communication, day-of planning, researching/purchasing the best high quality products, and being prepared for anything and everything on wedding day.
I arrive early (15- 20 minutes prior) for set up to ensure the we stay on time. I arrive dressed professionally, with hair and makeup done. "Talk the talk - walk the walk".
As a Colorado "native", I love, live, and breathe everything that this beautiful state has to offer. I have traveled far and wide across the state for on-location weddings. I am based in Colorado, but do also travel nationally and internationally! Please contact for inquires of national and international travel.
